Honey Smack HD

"Good point"

submission: Honey Smack HD
date: September 11, 2007

Though I think no child really thinks that deeply into it...I mean look at the mario bros. They're 2 communist-plumber-italian-stereotypes who eat mushrooms, dress up as raccoons, and tear down peace flags. I always enjoyed looking at stuff in this light though. Always good for a thought! Good job.

Yah, that's the wonderful thing about it. We watch all these shows as kids and never realize anything, and you know those artists are dropping in sexual hints all the time. We all know Disney has a big problem with it. Thanks.

Flight of the Stallion

"I love horses. Flying horses."

date: September 2, 2007

I liked it! Great use of visuals and the camera flowed quite well. Atmosphere was top-notch and I love the ending with the guy looking up. It shows how stories are spread! Something that bugged me was stuff like the horse head moving-- it just cuts from one frame to the next whereas when the panther growls, it's fully animated. It was a difference of two styles that didn't flow well with me I guess. That, and the music for the chase was a bit..midi-ish and lasted too long. Otherwise this was perfect. Definately worth the watch. Newgrounds needs more animation like this.

Virginia Tech Shootout!

"666 kb....heh"

date: September 2, 2007

There was no point to this. Most people who watch starving kids in Africa change the channel because they don't want to focus on bad things and they don't have the will power to get up and do something about it-- deep down it is a bit uncaring, but it's out of laziness. So no, they don't point and laugh. Maybe you do, so you missed the point completely and ended up making a pointless and badly animated toon about a horrible thing simply to entertain the people that are doing nothing but wasting oxygen on the earth.

This may be art by definition, but it sure is sore on the eyes.

After it was over, I laughed heavily. Good work on the 80s toon. Looks authentic.

StarFox excelent adventur

"Arrrrrrrr"

date: August 10, 2007

Good! Even though I never played SF Adventures, I still liked this. I grew up playing the SNES and N64 versions and loved them, then saw Adventures out and thought they ruined it by making it all cutesy. Not sure if it was or not, but this animation did a good job highlighting some junk I missed out on I guess. Thanks for that.

Only big complaint I have is how they walked. There wasn't any bend in their legs and that kind of bugged me. Other than that, good job.

3D Showcase

"Not bad."

submission: 3D Showcase
date: August 8, 2007

I imagine for a noob who's new to 3d, I gotta say you're doing pretty well. But this was pretty random. Make a movie or game or something!

As for a critique--
The transformer looked ugly. All the peices kept pushing into eachother. Watch out for that. The geometry on everything was basic, but maybe you wanted that. The moving camera didn't flow very well when you used it-- kind of annoying to watch as it swung around randomly. As for the objects that moved, the tank and the city was cool at the end, but all the things you were trying to make move like a human didn't move right. Try...maybe slowing them down and putting some secondary motion into those if possible.

Sorry if I sound a bit harsh, but trust me-- it's the only way you'll learn! Keep at it and you'll be a pro in no time. Good job(s).

Expert's Guide to NG-DX

"Pretty good"

date: July 21, 2007

It was informative for sure and was pretty easy to navigate. Good jukebox selection which was decent quality. For improvement I'd suggest not having the text over that SMB2 waterfall-- or have the text black within a dark-yellow box like this one on NG I'm typing in. Reason is it's kind of a nuisance to read while something's moving under the text, you know? That, and the intro-animations looked a bit n00bish but since you could click through them I guess that's good. Also, the profile button is broken! But overall I liked it. Good work!

"purdy cool"

submission: -Machine-Made-
date: February 26, 2007

I liked it. Mainly because I like robots a lot. Graphics looked pretty nice-- the cool little details in the machines caught my eye. The music was cool, though it sounded like it could have had better quality (export it higher!). The only problem I can really complain about was the run cycle of the robot seemed a little weak-- it could have been a bit more fluid. Anyways, good job.

LONG LIVE ROBOTS!

Author's Response:

"LONG LIVE ROBOTS!"

Ironicly.. this is about the exact opposite of the story line. Oh well, enjoy the series when I finally come up with a better idea.

What is Love?

"Great!"

submission: What is Love?
date: February 21, 2007

Fantastic work. I 5'd this. A lot of work obviously went into this and your camera work, story, and synchronizing of everything was very very professional. The only thing that I didnt like too much about it were the south park looking characters-- they got the point across, but I think they could have had a more unique look to them. But that's just small chips in this wonderful animation. Again, fantastic!
