not bad

I think this story would have been better without the words though-- if you could convey the message w/o any text being displayed, you could have mastered storytelling! You did it pretty well up to that point. Work on the art a little more and you'll get some 10s!

JKSSN responds:

i suck at drawing.....
oh well. thanks for tips and reviewing!

HA! YES!

When I saw this on the frontpage, I literally "plasmaed" my pants. I'm a big fan of Peter Chimera myself. Glad to see there are a lot of other fans popping up here and there.

Galneda responds:

As his masterpieces get oldered, his legend grows.

Loved it!

I enjoyed it very much. Maybe next time have the action go just a bit faster and also up the FPS. But pretty damn good for 2 weeks though! I'm impressed with getting that much done and having it look so good.

Oh and I noticed you're in Chicago. What school ya going to? Because if the green flu ever hits, I'm heading there and looking for you. You, me, a friend, and Chicago Ted will make it out of the city alive.

ScottFalco responds:

Unfortunately the FPS was not up to me, I wanted more action, but that of course required more time, which I did not have haha

Art!

Something that really stood out for me here was the style. The vector work is so warm and simple. No ink whatsoever! Good lipsyncing and good basic animation. And now I have a new game to play with my friends too. Good job!

Blakant responds:

thanks for appreciating the art style, most ppl dont, lol.
good to serve u n ur frend wif ur new game xD

HA!

I liked it. I'll make sure to always buy lemonade from kids' stands. I always try to. Good work, though. Good short.

...but what was up with those car noises?

CUCCOOLEGEND responds:

Couldn't find a better one lol!

WHA!?

Hahahaha! I have no idea what I just watched, but strangely that's why I liked it. Quick and simple. Nice work.

(btw that youtube link does not work)

Carbonwater responds:

It does work, get rid of the space in between a and t in the word watch.

Good point

Though I think no child really thinks that deeply into it...I mean look at the mario bros. They're 2 communist-plumber-italian-stereotypes who eat mushrooms, dress up as raccoons, and tear down peace flags. I always enjoyed looking at stuff in this light though. Always good for a thought! Good job.

TXMStudios responds:

Yah, that's the wonderful thing about it. We watch all these shows as kids and never realize anything, and you know those artists are dropping in sexual hints all the time. We all know Disney has a big problem with it. Thanks.

I love horses. Flying horses.

I liked it! Great use of visuals and the camera flowed quite well. Atmosphere was top-notch and I love the ending with the guy looking up. It shows how stories are spread! Something that bugged me was stuff like the horse head moving-- it just cuts from one frame to the next whereas when the panther growls, it's fully animated. It was a difference of two styles that didn't flow well with me I guess. That, and the music for the chase was a bit..midi-ish and lasted too long. Otherwise this was perfect. Definately worth the watch. Newgrounds needs more animation like this.

Banjax responds:

Thanks for the feedback mate.

purdy cool

I liked it. Mainly because I like robots a lot. Graphics looked pretty nice-- the cool little details in the machines caught my eye. The music was cool, though it sounded like it could have had better quality (export it higher!). The only problem I can really complain about was the run cycle of the robot seemed a little weak-- it could have been a bit more fluid. Anyways, good job.

LONG LIVE ROBOTS!

The-Truth-Seeker responds:

"LONG LIVE ROBOTS!"

Ironicly.. this is about the exact opposite of the story line. Oh well, enjoy the series when I finally come up with a better idea.

I sorta liked it!

Psh. Valentines day. What a joke. People are probably going to call you emo for this (although showing Donnie Darko was REALLY REALLY pushing it...), but they must understand that this is the problem with v-day. If you're not being a drone like the rest and buy into the idea of loving a person one day a year, you're going to be sad because you can't. Nice way of thinking and showing the world outside the box. Good work.

george-kelly-johnson responds:

well Donnie Darko was just an example of a movie that the main character enjoys. It could really be any movie or it doesn't really have to be a movie. It could just be something to make the character happy - if only for a few hours.

but yea i get it. i hear the emo thing all the time so i'm used to it.

thanks

I make animations and animation accessories
